In a rare earth doped fiber laser module, pump energy is absorbed by the rare earth doped fiber and transformed into signal energy. However, the pump power cannot be absorbed completely. There is always some residual pump power transmitted in cladding of the DCF. This portion of energy is useless and even dangerous to the downstream components. Lasfiberio’s CPS can effectively “strip” the residual pump and some reflected signal power which transmits backwards in clad, while keeping the amplified signal power unaffected.
